Rural Water Filtration Systems

Water Plus offers a range of water treatment systems to suit rain water, bore water or town water in a range of applications from Point of Entry (POE) whole house systems to Point of Use (POU) drinking water systems. We also supply water softeners and can test water for hardness, iron content and pH . Solutions for rural water treatment vary depending on water source, water use and location and therefore we prefer to quote individually upon request and usually inspect the site to do so. Some of the options Water Plus offers are listed below but for more information please contact us directly.

Counter Top Filtration Systems.

Free Standing Chillers

Cascade Free Standing Chillers

Cascade CoolerThis unit can be plumbed in in a variety of locations with the water sourced through flexible tubing installed through wall or ceiling cavities. These appliances have twin taps (cool and cold) and can be supplied in full height or counter top size. There is also the option of having hot and cold taps. The appliances can be matched to a number of water filtration units and are most commonly sold with in line filtration on plumbed in models and a counter top or under sink filtration for the bottle type chillers.

Clearwater Pure 1 Self Filtering Free Standing Chiller.

Free Standing EFThis free standing chiller has the advantage of a self filtering bottle. The unit is refilled through a removable lid in the top of the bottle with a 5 litre refiller bottle supplied with the unit. The water passes through a 1 micron sock sediment filter and then through and activated carbon filter before reaching the chilling chamber. These filters guard against cryptosporidium and giardia cysts and remove sediments, organics and all chlorine leaving the water colourless, odorless, tasteless and fantastic to drink.

The water is dispensed at either cold or cool temperature from the twin taps. The unit is also available with hot/cold taps. The Pure 1 is ideal for home and offices alike where the chiller will be standing away from any water outlets so it can provide convenient, pure water without the necessity to carry and store heavy bottles or to plumb in water to the unit.

Point of Entry Filtration Systems

Point of Entry Systems (POE)

The "Big Blue" 20" Housing

Big Blue FiltrationThe Big Blue filter system is designed to filter water before it enters your house! In other words, no matter whether you are brushing your teeth, cooking dinner or taking a shower, the bag filter will remove sediments, dust and rust all down to 1 micron and the silver carbon filter will dramatically improve the colour taste and odour of the water while reducing the risk of bacterial growth on the filter.

Low in maintenance, the bag filter should be replaced when the flow reduces and the silver carbon filter should be replaced every 12 months.

Point of entry filtration when using bore or rain water supplies is necessary protection for your machines such as water heaters, dishwashers and washing machines. It can also protect tap seats, shower heads and toilets from damaging sediments. POE filters can also be used to remove odors and colour from water for cleaner, more enjoyable showers, cleaner and softer clothes and to stop staining in toilets and sinks. As with most rural applications the right system varies depending on water source and location so please contact us to get advise on what would suit your needs.

Water Softening Systems.

Kinetico Twin Tank Water Softener

Kinetico Water ConditionerKinetico Twin Tank Softeners represent the leading technology in domestic and commercial water softening systems. These units require no electricity, are totally reliable, are the most cost and water efficient and require the least upkeep and maintenance. This is achieved through the use of twin softening tanks. Having two tanks means that regeneration of the resin is done precisely when needed as the system stays on line providing softened water from one tank while regenerating the other. The other benefit is that Point of Entry Resinregeneration water is acquired from the on line tank meaning that regeneration is done using softened water ensuring a much longer life for your resin and control valve parts and more efficiency from your system. The system measures water usage through a mini turbine meaning no electricity is used, there are no breakdowns by expensive electronic parts, and no adjustments need to be made for fluctuations in usage requirements. This type of system is a must for iron-laden water supplies and is also of benefit for any hard water supply.

Single Tank Water Softener

Ion Resin Filtration Water SoftenerSingle Tank Softeners offer a cost effective way to soften water for domestic and commercial use if the water supply is not iron-laden. These systems use a micro processor, electronic timer or a semi automatic timer to set regeneration cycles.

NSW Private Water Supply Guidelines

The NSW Department of Health recently issued new guidelines for private water supplies which serve the public.  The guidelines cover surface water, groundwater and water from rainwater tanks that is supplied for drinking at facilities such as caravan parks and camp grounds, guest houses, petrol stations and roadhouses and sports facilities.  The guidelines provide information on protection and management of water supplies, water treatment and disinfection, monitoring requirementls, and legal responsibilities to ensure provision of safe water to the public.
