Recycling of Water

Water recycling is an emerging area and much of the legislation, including health regulations, science and product development is still emerging.  Consequently there should be a high degree of caution in making decisions in this area.  For more information on water recycling please see the Environmental section of our Water Plus website.

Questions that arise are:

  • What must be done to meet legislative and building requirements?
  • How can the source water be effectively treated?
  • What will it cost and what are the ongoing costs?
  • Who will service the equipment?
  • Are equipment parts readily available both now and in the future?
  • How safe is the treated water?
  • What can be done to lessen the risks?
  • How can the treated water be re-used?
  • What will be the short term and long term affects on plants and soils?
  • Who will install the equipment?
  • Does the system have certification by an independent third party?
  • Are there any testimonials available?
  • Do price comparisons reflect the same quality of components or structure?
  • What are the value added features?
  • How can product claims be verified?
  • Does my local authorities have an effective regulatory framework to ensure proper compliance for me and my neighbours?
  • Is there a compulsion to accept a system as part of a development or body corporate structure that may become a future liability?
