Water Plus ultraGTS - Greywater Treatment System
Water Plus in Canberra, has applied its knowledge of water filtration with biological treatment to provide high quality water reuse systems for home owners. Water from the laundry, hand basins, bath and shower can be recycled for the washing machine, toilet flushing, irrigation and car washing. With the Water Plus ultraGTS it ‘rains’ every day. The home owner is able to store the water in a reuse tank to use at their discretion.
Homeowners can now choose to live without water restrictions and the garden city concept can be reborn at an affordable price.
Water Plus is also negotiating to bring the assembly, distribution and associated employment of the grey water recylcing and treatment systems to Canberra. This is technology that we have trialled and proven right here in the ACT.
The Water Plus ultraGTS can be seen at the Housing Industry Association's 'HIA Home Ideas' exhibition building on the corner of Collie and Albany Streets in Fyshwick, Canberra or visit our showroom at Unit 8 of 64 Wollongong Street, Fyshwick, ACT. Map.

Water Plus advises that the Australian Government are issuing Rebates for Households to install Rainwater Tanks and Greywater Treatment Systems.
On 30 January the Minister for Climate Change and Water announced that the Australian Government is offering rebates of up to $500 to households for the purchase and installation of new rainwater tanks which are connected for internal reuse of the water for toilet and/or laundry use ('plumbed in') or the purchase and installation of permanent greywater treatment systems. Final decisions regarding rebate eligibility will be made by the Australian Government.
Why Recycle?
Grey water recycling is far more effective than relying on rain to fall. With a WaterPlus ultraGTS it 'rains' every day. Approximately 80% of the water that goes to drain in your home is grey water. The other 20% is toilet water and water from the kitchen sink that is known as black water and cannot be recycled. Each time you shower, bath, and wash your clothes or hands water can be captured by the Sump Collection Tank for processing. Therefore water is available for reuse every day to 'rain' on your garden or be used again for the other purposes listed below.
The ACT Government Department of Health have a Fact Sheet on Greywater use. They are informative guidelines for residential properties in Canberra.
Under the guidelines water treated to a high standard can be reused for more than just the garden. The WaterPlus ultraGTS provides high quality water that enables the treated water to be stored for reuse at your discretion.
